payment of post doctoral fellowship in Erc project
June 30th, 2009 — ssteIn a ERC project the principal investigator would like to pay such foreign researchers, that will participated to the project with the PI, with Post doctoral Fellowship. As stated in the attached “Guide for Applicants”actions are open to researcher of any nationality and a description of the resources should be given in the proposal. The
cost claimed should be in line with the host institution’s own accounting rules. All persons involved should be remunerated in accordance with normal practices. Nothing is said about the possible contracts. Someone knows something more?

This should be allowed, as per your understanding. ERC long wanted to avoid consortium style projects, but this is the reality. This would be a subcontract, but was this mentioned in the original proposal? If not it will need to be discussed with the project officer - there is a multi-beneficiary form of agreement. If work will be done outside the PIs institution and you want to provide reimbursement for this, it has to follow the FP7 procedures.
